Building a fixie

So. i've been palying around with the idea of building a fixie.
The problem all along, was the money.
But then suddenly I stumbled across my fathers old race bike. The frame was sweet, and I started building the bike with old parts we had lying around. This morning I went to a really cool bike store called Heino's.
I ended up with a really dope set of wheels. White semi-profile rims, silver hubs, black spokes, and a really fast set of vredestein tires. What was really dope was the price. 1100kr for a pair. I was stoked to say the least!
I have spent the whole afternoon assembling the bike, and I think it came out REALLY nice!
I still have some changes to make. I am currently running a freewheel, i will try out the fixed side as soon as I get hold of a 16T sprocket. I am also planning on painting the handlebar/stem combo, and the seatpost white. In addition to this, I am probably going to fit some nice black handlebar grips as well.

Here are some pictures, for your viewing pleasure.

Skt. Hans

Super tired today.
A super crammed, and crumby bus with no working A/C made the trip a real nightmare. During the 10 hour drive, I didn't manage to get 1 minute of sleep. But for 200kr, I guess its hard to complain.
Today I celebrated Skt. Hans. Here in Denmark it is a tradition to have a huge bonfire to celebrate the longest day of the year. I went to a place called Fortet to watch the bonfire. Here I met up with a couple of buddies. Of course I forgot to take pictures of the bonfire, but believe me, it was huge.
What i did manage, was to take a picture from my patio. Crappy picture, but you get the idea of how light it is. The picture was taken at around 23:30

Tommorow I am gonna get up early to do a bit of running, before i'll go for some conditioning in a place called Idrætshuset on Østerbro.

Peace out

Update from a cafe

I on my way to Denmark, where i am gonna spend my summer. Because of the crazy price on airplane tickets, im going by bus. The bus trip is a nonepic 10 hour drive, wich im sorta not looking forward to.
Anyways, i thought i would spend the day in Oslo, while waiting for my bus, that leaves in about 3 hours.
I did manage to find a few cool stores.
Freudian kicks is a really neat little store in Prinsens gate in Oslo. The store stocks some really nice designers, the downside is that you have to be f***ing Bill Gates to shop here. I bought a dope denim shirt, wich actually was quite affordable.
Everytime im visiting Oslo, im making sure to drop by Tiger record shop. The shop has a nice selection of genres. I ended up buying a miles benjamin anthony robinson record. I think they have a really dope sound.
Currently im sitting in a cafe with WIFI, wich is nice, they also serve good coffee.

Thats all for now. I will go catch my bus.
